You heard it here, folks--a new version of Minecraft is appearing soon! Let's begin by filling you in on the important details.

What exactly is Windows 10 Edition Beta?

It's simple--this new version is near 'copy' of Minecraft: Pocket Edition. All features that the mobile edition of Minecraft receives, the Windows 10 Edition will be getting as well. This will allow for players across the two different platforms to connect/play with one another via multiplayer.

How can I download this new version?

Seeing as the new Windows 10 software update is not yet available, there is no way for anyone to download Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. As stated earlier, on July 29th, 2015, the new version of Minecraft will finally be available for download, along with the release of the new 0.12.0 update to Minecraft: Pocket Edition. 

Cost?

If you have purchased Minecraft: PC Edition, Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta will come free of cost within the Windows 10 store. Otherwise, you will be able to purchase this new version at a cheap cost of $10 USD. Do note, that this price is only planned to last throughout the beta period of the new version, and only the beta period (the length of which has yet to be determined). Once this time is up, and the game moves into its 'stable stage', the price will change, and most definitely in an increasing matter. After purchasing the game once, players will receive all future updates for no cost.
