WasteLanders leave Players in a very wide and big place called the Waste Land, it's literally in the middle of nowhere and the players are ought to find asylum before it's nighttime, because as soon as the sun goes down the place get bombarded with monsters. it reminds me of the movie I'm a legend, I don't know if you've heard of it but this mod is very similar to it.

Far in the wastelands, you'll find some structures which you'll be lucky if you find food in it and not a bunch of hostile creatures. nonetheless, you'll have to search for food as soon as you spawn. time is very valuable in this addon and as time goes you'll get exhausted and hungry, and the sun will go down slowly until it's completely dark, at this point you should already be in safety because going out in darkness is a death wish, after it's daytime you'll need to go out and start hustling for weapons, making a wooden sword can be a good start. This Addon can make a great idea for a video, surviving 100 days in the Waste Lands, isn't it exciting?
