Howdy gamers, so as a kid, we used to play both legos and Minecraft, but as we grew up, our love for Legos lessened, and we stopped playing them. Until early this year, when a texture pack called Brixel emerged to revive our passion for legos by migrating it with Minecraft in a spectacular form.
This texture pack has gotten many significant updates since it was released; one of them is the textured mobs. Now you will come across lego donkeys, lego sheep, lego horses, and my favorite one, lego creeper. There are many more, so be sure to check them out after installing this pack.
From our inspection, Brixel should be combined with Physics mod to attain its full potential because, look at the screenshots, it seems like this texture pack and Physics mod were made for each other. It would be best to worry that physics mod can be a bit performance-intensive. Mixing it with Brixel will be even heavier for your computer to run, so if you can play Brixel at 40 to 50 fps, don't include physics mod because you will cripple your performance.
Now, let's move on to the general features this pack has. If you're new to this texture pack, I insist you keep reading; Brixel has transformed Minecraft into lego. Despite this simple style, the author has managed to make it look highly realistic and pleasing for the eyes; he extended his project to cover more of the blocks, as for now, the pack doesn't lack any block when it comes to the foliage and other survival needed textures like the nether portal, wooden planks, etc. even sounds are lego-ish!
And the author is currently working on the mob's textures. As you observed on the screenshots, he's doing an unbelievable job in it.
Well, I think that would suffice to describe this masterpiece, now. Let's move on to the installation tutorial:
(To clarify something, unlike other textures. Brixel doesn't come as a zip file, and it comes as a 7z setup)
- You will have first to click windows + R to open this window.
- Then look for the Minecraft file, click it, and copy-paste the Brixel 7z setup.
- Double click the 7z setup, and sometimes it shows that the file is dangerous to click view more and "run anyway," then click on yes to all.
- Then on the resource packs tab, you will find the Brixel pack.
The most impressive part about this new installation method is that the 7z setup changes your seus ptgi settings and applies the most suitable settings for the pack, so you will no longer have to deal with any bugs or issues.
