Solas shader is a new project made by the talented developer Septonious; the shader itself is very extensive and is dense with features that any new shader wouldn't have; for starters, Solas shader has an integrated PBR; this feature only existed on the complementary shader once, the feature consists of making the blocks reflective without the need of a 3rd party PBR texture pack, it can also light up some blocks and this precisely what the author did with their shader, they made all the flowers glow up during nighttime, this made the forest quite radiant and very lovely to explore, not only the forests, the caves also been lit up by making the ores glow, this could count as cheating but it is an adjustable feature that you can disable whenever you please; following up we have the water shading, this part of the shader truly made my jaw drop, the water is quite possibly the most tropical amongst any other shader's apart from SEUS PTGI of course, but still it's so aesthetic and changes color tint very often depending on the time and the weather, it even reflects clouds on the sky just like in real-life, now speaking of the clouds, they look gorgeous and in fact dynamic, the clouds here changes color tint depending on the time, of course this goes without saying, but the impressive part about it is that it's not just a show in the sky, it has an actual 3D shape that is full details and looks the absolute best when observed from above; last feature I can think of is the fog, it's very realistic and helps eradicate the unloaded chunks since it covers them with fog and bright light resulting in perfect distant visuals; Solas shader is currently compatible to up 1.20 using either OptiFine or Iris Shaders, enjoy it now.
